Mozilla Does It Again!

 

Mozilla has introduced Ubiquity, a new beta Firefox extension. Ubiquity makes possible for everyone to do common web tasks quickly and easily.  Check out the link below to view the Video.

Years ago I was introduced to Mozilla through Firefox, and Thunderbird, since then, I have not looked back.  I am very happy with the changes that Microsoft has made to their browser (Internet Explorer), but Mozilla still leads the pack.  Also if you are a web developer or designer, the Mozilla Firefox extension, Firebug is a must-have.

What is Ubiquity?  

Ubiquity is an extension that allows you to enter commands that have knowledge of page content and return new information.

Internet Explorer 8

 

Website Developers are often challenged with the way their websites display for the different browsers and most often some modifications and tweeking is required.  Microsoft has been been far behind until the release of Internet Explorer 7.  Now we have Internet Explorer 8 and as a Mozilla Firefox user (still my favourite), I am pleasantly surprised by this version.

What I am most excited about with Internet Explorer 8 is users now have the option of selecting the Compatibility View Button.  This button allows you to optimize your viewing of websites that were designed for older browsers.  If you are viewing a page and it`s not lining up, you just have to click the Compatiblity View Button and it will correct the page layout.
